24CARAT GOLD MOSAIC WILL DECORATE ART DECO - WOLA APARTMENTS
Unusual surprise is in preparation for the future residents of Art Deco Wola Apartments in Warsaw: a mosaic in the art déco style will be soon displayed. This original work of art was created on a special order in a fine arts studio of an artist Lubosz Karwat and along with the progress of construction works it will soon decorate the next Terra Casa investment.
A large mosaic (220 cm high and 160 cm wide) will be placed on the elevation of “Art Deco Wola Apartments” building by the main entry to the representative lobby. This intriguing and unique mosaic in the style of 1930s was made from 24 carat gold in glass and marble, granite and onyx by an outstanding Polish fine artist Lubosz Karwat, a winner of numerous mosaic competitions in the world. Lubosz Karwat is the first Pole in history, who was awarded the main prize in the competition of artistic mosaic in Turkey. In order to grant the exceptional texture to his work of art, the artist implemented differences of the height between the particular stones, what gave the effect of a low relief.
The Art Deco mosaic is already exhibited to our clients in Terra Casa Warsaw office at 5 Siedmiogrodzka Street, from where it will be moved by the general contractor of Art Deco investment – the Strabag company and placed on the facade of the finished apartment building in the district of Wola. The illuminated work of art will remind of 1930s decadent time and refer to the artistic magnificence of the Warsaw Bohemia.
